1. What is your educational and career background?

Answer: After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, I focused on obtaining broad knowledge and as such I began my career by working as a secretary to a senator. Thereafter I changed my career and became a lawyer. In my working life I have had the opportunity to attend many training courses including the Ministry of Industry’s course on new generation entrepreneurship. The knowledge derived from these courses was applied to law firm management, moreover, I also had the opportunity to integrate my know-how at Dharmniti with new knowledge I have obtained.

2. What legal practice areas do you currently work in?

Answer:  My current areas of legal practice are medical liability cases, family cases, and cases involving complicated facts. However, I have an opinion to share, I think lawyers are divided into three (3) categories, which are, those who 1) litigate cases; 2) give legal advice; and 3) have both of the foregoing roles. In my view, lawyers of the next generation should start their careers in litigation given that it will give them a better understanding of every aspect of the legal profession, this would be more advantageous to their future career in my view.

3. What specific skills and expertise do you have which you think can be of benefit to your clients?

Answer: The skills and expertise I have which can be of benefit to my clients include my ability to communicate and negotiate effectively, as well as my understanding of the facts of each case. However, I would like to point out that if a lawyer neglects or overlooks witness examinations, it can undermine their case regardless of their supporting legal arguments or how well they prepare for a case.

Answer: When serving clients, I think the important things are attention to detail, sincerity, and willingness. These skills and attributes will help alleviate the suffering of those who are dealing with legal issues.

Answer: In Thailand, legal practice is not well known of and its assessed value in terms of money remains quite low in comparison with that of other professions. However, working as a lawyer requires expertise and the capacity to resolve issues which are not addressed in textbooks. Nevertheless, I think the Company’s role shall continue to keep growing larger in society provided that it is able to continue maintaining its good standards of service.

9. In your opinion, what do you think DLO should do to improve its lawyers’ ability to better serve its client’s needs?

Answer: In addition to professional ability, I think the Company should develop its professionals’ capacity regarding the management of clients’ stress and anxiety. Regardless of whether a client’s legal issue is resolved, clients will continue to experience discomfort and anxiety. Legal practitioners are responsible for resolving these issues.
