1.What is your educational and career background?
Answer: I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Ramkhamhaeng University. I’ve been practicing as a lawyer with Dharmniti Law Office Co., Ltd. for over 20 years.
2. What legal practice areas do you currently work in?
Answer: Being a lawyer, I conduct both civil and criminal cases, cases regarding dishonest acts and misbehavior of state officials, administrative cases and bankruptcy cases.
3. What specific skills and expertise do you have which you think can be of benefit to your clients?
Answer: I’m an expert in civil and criminal law as well as laws pertaining to corruption in the public sector, administrative cases and bankruptcy cases.
4. What do you think is important when you are serving your clients?
Answer: I must truly understand a client’s problem and then look for a way to resolve such problem successfully.
5. What is your greatest achievement in your legal career?
Answer: I’m proudest of being able to help my clients resolve their problems successfully and I am glad to receive my clients’ satisfaction for what I’ve accomplished for them.
6. What legal issues/ areas are you interested in and why?
Answer: I’m interested in criminal law as well as laws pertaining to corruption in the public sector. I am interested in public sector corruption laws because it is detrimental to commit an offence against this law and the commission of such an offence is a significant problem for co-living in society.
7. What skills and attributes do you think makes a good and effective lawyer?
Answer: One must be honest to one’s profession, must truly understand their clients’ problems and troubles, and must solve problems for one’s clients successfully.
8. What is your opinion about the firm’s direction in the new global legal society?
Answer: There are many changes in the modern world, especially online communications of people via social media. Offences in new guises are committed online. At present, revisions have been made to the existing legislation and new laws enacted for the resolution of problems and to accommodate changes of the time. Lawyers and legal service providers are therefore required to follow changes in the legislation at all times and to study and try to have an understanding of the commission of offences in new guises so that such studies and understanding are applied in accordance with the law.
9. In your opinion, what do you think DLO should do to improve its lawyers’ ability to better serve its clients’ needs?
Answer: DLO should promote and develop its lawyers’ knowledge of legal work according to time that has changed, in particular newly modified laws, so that its lawyers have knowledge and expertise and are thus able to apply their legal knowledge to provide correct and complete services to its clients.
