Founded in 1947 by Mr. Pradit Premyothin, Dharmniti Law Office (DLO) has become one of the most well-respected law offices in Thailand providing quality legal services for both local and international clients.
Prior to Mr. Premyothin’s death in 1977, he directed that the practice continue under the name of “Dharmniti” (the Thai word for law with integrity) maintaining the spirit with which the firm was founded.
In 1978, under the guidance of Mr. Buth Khandhawit, a former Supreme Court Judge, DLO became a limited company and embarked upon a program of expansion to more adequately meet the requirements of its clients.
Mr. Pradith Premyothin established a law office under the name of “Dharmniti”. This name was chosen by Mr. Pradith to reflect his vision and intention for the business to adhere to the principles of ‘Dharma’ (Buddha’s Doctrine) which include behaving with morality.
Mr. Paisal Puechmongkol joined Dharmniti Law Office after being introduced by Mr. Buth Khandhawit; at that time the office only had 3 lawyers. After joining the company Mr. Paisal gained considerable experience and knowledge from Mr. Pradith and Mr. Buth, this in turn enabled him to become highly skillful and knowledgeable in the practice of law and business.
During this year Mr. Pradit Premyothin passed away. In his will he made a provision that the law office should continue in the name of Dharmniti under the leadership of Mr. Paisal, who at that time was a senior lawyer in the Company. According to the advice of Mr. Buth, it was then suggested that an ordinary law office could not endure, thus Mr. Paisal and other lawyers decided to register Dharmniti as a Company Limited on 11 April 1978 with registered capital of 300,000 Baht. The office was also relocated from 87/10 Phetchaburi Road to the 2nd floor of the Phansak Building in Phayathai.
The Company was growing rapidly and as a result the office again moved to a new location near Wat Phrayayang on Rama VI Road in Bangkok.
Due to continual expansion, the Board of Management resolved to
divide the business of Dharmniti as follows:
(1) The Legal Group comprising Dharmniti Law Office Co., Ltd.
and Dharmniti International Co., Ltd;
(2) The Accounting and Auditing Group which comprised of Dharmniti Accounting and Tax Co., Ltd. and Dharmniti Auditing Co.,Ltd.; and
(3) The Office of Management Development Group which was made up of Dharmniti Press Co., Ltd. and Dharmniti Seminar and Training Co., Ltd.
DLO moved from its old office at the Nai Lert Tower into its current office located at 2/2 Bhakdi Building 2nd Floor, Wireless Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok.
